Admission Into Full-Time Postgraduate Programmes For the 2023/2024 Academic Session
Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for admission into the following Full-time Postgraduate Programmes for the 2023/2024 academic session.
A. FACULTY OF MANAGEMENT AND SOCIAL SCIENCES
- Postgraduate Diploma (PGD) in Accounting; Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Accounting and Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Accounting
- Postgraduate Diploma (PGD) in Business Administration; Master of Business Administration (MBA); Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Business Administration; Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Business Administration

C. FACULTY OF COMPUTING

D. DURATION OF PROGRAMMES
(a) Postgraduate Diploma Programmes
(i) A minimum of two (2) Semesters and a maximum of four (4) semesters
(b) Master’s Degree Programmes
A minimum of three (3) Semesters & maximum of six (6) semesters for programmes in Natural and Applied Sciences as well as in Computing while a minimum of four (4) semesters and a maximum of six (6) semesters for programmes in Management and Social Sciences.
(c) Ph.D. Programmes
A Minimum of Six Semesters and a maximum of Ten Semesters.
E. ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS:
(a) Postgraduate Diploma Programmes
- An Applicant for admission to the Postgraduate Diploma of the University shall be a graduate of Michael and Cecilia Ibru University, Agbarha-Otor or any other approved University with at least a 3rd Class Degree.
- Candidates with HND with a minimum of Lower Credit in the relevant field may be

- An Applicant shall normally possess not lower than Second Class (Lower Division) Honours Degree of the Michael and Cecilia Ibru University, Agbarha-Otor or any other approved University in relevant discipline.
- Candidates with HND with a minimum of Lower Credit and a Postgraduate Diploma in a relevant field may be
(c) Doctor of Philosophy Degree Programmes
An applicant for admission to the PhD. Degree programme shall be a graduate of the Michael and Cecilia Ibru University, Agbarha-Otor or any other approved University who possesses a Master Degree with research thesis and a weighted coursework average which shall normally be not less than 60% (B+) in relevant discipline.
(d) VERY IMPORTANT NOTICE
In addition to the admission requirements as published, All Candidates should please note that in accordance with the University regulations, they must satisfy the O’ Level requirements for matriculation into first degree programmes of the Michael and Cecilia Ibru University, Agbarha-Otor, i.e. Five Credit passes at not more than two sittings including English Language and Mathematics (where required).
